Annually, the norths collective celebrates the intra-clubs and their achievements with each club nominating one member.  Formerly known as the President’s Shield, this is a long running tradition with a sit down dinner, drinks and dancing which makes for a fabulous evening.

The squash club nominee this year is Andrew Roughan.

Andrew has served on the squash club committee for over a decade, in a variety of different positions, always contributing to the smooth running of our club and encouraging new and existing members to participate.  Andrew also represents norths squash club in a variety of external squash competitions.

Andrew represented norths squash club in the weekly pennant match across the year, captaining and encouraging his team to the finals.  Andrew also represented Norths at a variety of one off squash events, including the Willoughby Open and Maashed Timed tournaments.  Andrew also volunteered across numerous sessions at the Australian Open, an international squash event.

Andrew’s work on the squash committee in 2023 in two roles, as both Sports Rep and Vice President meant he was instrumental in the admin that keeps our squash club running smoothly and has new members regularly joining, including juniors.
