Entries for Jan 2020 competition open in October and close December. Competition commences in the week beginning 6th January 2020.
Summer Comp 2020 Information
The competition is coordinated by MAASH squash club. Home and away games are either on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, or Thursdays.
The draw for the first round is attached below (at the bottom of the page). The home team is the team listed first, for example 1 v 4 means that the match will be held at team 1's venue.
The rules, score sheets and results sheets are also attached at the bottom of the page.
Away games are $19.00 per player per match, payable to the home club. Home games are free to both norths Squash Club members and their opponents.
Result and Score sheets are attached below. Captains must fax or email results to both Sarah Wilson before lunchtime Saturday.

General Summer Comp Information
Summer Competition is an opportunity for you to play for a mixed norths Squash Club team against teams from other local squash clubs at 8pm on weekday evenings (usually Thursdays). It commences in January and plays through to February. Half of the games are held at our home courts and half at other clubs courts within the Northern District, with most away games being at Lane Cove, Willoughby and MAASH.
Teams are generally made up of 4 or 5 players, with 3 playing each match night. Usually 2 men and one lady play each night, with players playing in ability order.
Scoring is point a rally to 60. Breaks are held when the first player reaches 15, 30 and 45.
Handicaps are determined by your matrix ranking, with the difference between handicaps determining the starting position on the night eg player 1 is 150, player 2 is 140, so player 2 starts +5 and player 1 starts -5. The maximum start is +10 v -10 ie 20 points difference.
There are usually 8 teams in each graded division, with 1 round of play, followed by a finals series held between divisions.
The competition is more relaxed than pennant and currently the results of matches do not affect players' matrix.
Match cost is $19.00 per match played (costs are confirmed at the start of the comptetion) – payable on the night to the courts. There is no charge for playing at norths for the home team.
Supper after the match is optional, however many teams choose not to provide supper and some players play and go. norths encourages all its teams to offer opponents a drink and pizza after the completion of all matches.
